This is a topic which has been discussed a lot and since it’s pretty controversial topic, I decided to post my point of view here.
Mothers are always sensitive, and they are always worried to let their kids bathe alone until they are fully grown up. That’s very normal and every mother in the world does the same because that’s how it should be done but some mothers take it too far.
Some over-protective mothers go too far by bathing their children until the age 10, and i think that this is not normal.
You should start teaching your children to bathe alone from the age of 4 or 5 because at that age they start learning everything like riding a bike, drawing and other things that children do. It’s pretty hard at first because they will be scared and they won’t know what to do. That’s pretty normal but you have to take care of it before it’s too late.
You can try purchasing a LED Shower head if your children still insist for you to bathe them. LED shower heads are amazing for kids because they look great and they turn shower time into the best time of their day. There are a lot of options and you can choose one that has switching lights and other things that children love.
Along with teaching your children to bathe alone, you should also teach them to do some other things alone too, such as wiping their butt, brushing their teeth and other things that every human being does. Taking care of these small tasks from a young age will help them a lot in life because they will be able to face their problems alone without the help of anyone. If you keep doing everything for them, they will probably grow up and be a lazy person which expects everything to be done to them.
So, my suggestion is that if your child is 4-5 years old, you should start teaching them to take showers alone starting from the next time you bathe them. At first, start slowly by teaching them how to hold the shower head then the next day teach them how to wash their hair etc. In around 2 months, they should be able to take showers alone.
If they don’t want to, you’re already too late and you should try harder to teach them. The later you choose to do it, the harder it is going to be. So do it while they are still young!
